European Championships
Czech Republic have made three previous appearances at the European
Championship Finals (and three as Czechoslovakia): 1960, 1976, 1980, 1996, 2000 and 2004.
Czechoslovakia won the Final against West Germany at Yugoslavia 1976.
As Czech Republic, the team finished runners-up at England 1996 and reached the
semi-finals at Portugal 2004.

Czech Republic have made 9 World Cup Finals appearances:
1934, 1938, 1954, 1958, 1962, 1970, 1982, 1990, 2006.
When the Czech Republic was part of Czechoslovakia, they finished
runners-up in Italy 1934 and Chile 1962.

Quarter-finals
Group winners stay in the country they played their group games in,
while teams finishing second will be travelling across the border.
The runner up of Group A will have to travel from Switzerland to
Vienna for the quarter-final and (if they win that) back to Basel for the semi-final.;
then back to Vienna for the final.
