1904.
Germany have made 16 World Cup Finals appearances
1934, 1938, 1954, 1958, 1962, 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006.
Germany have won the World Cup three times
Switzerland
1954, West Germany 1974 and Italy 1990.
European Championships
Germany have made 10 appearances at the European
Championships (five of these as West Germany): 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992,
1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008.
Germany have won the trophy three times (Belgium 1972, Italy 1980 and
England 1996) and came home as runners-up twice (Yugoslavia 1976 and Sweden 1992).
Bayern Munich are Germany's most successful club side, followed by
Borussia Mönchengladbach, Werder Bremen, Borussia Dortmund, Hamburger SV, VfB Stuttgart
and FC Kaiserslautern.
