Togo World Cup Preparations

Togo were the first team to arrive in Germany; landing in Stuttgart on Monday 15th May.

While the Nigerian trainer, Stephen Keshi, took Togo to the finals he was sacked in February after Togo's elimination from the African Nation's Cup. German-born Otto Pfister, who has had experience of training African teams, was shortly the man in charge but walked out on the team before they started their World Cup schedule; to be replaced by his former assistant, Kodjovi Mawuena.

Then on the day of the first match against South Korea, Otto Pfister returned to the team.

Togo Team Hotel

After building up the hopes of staff at the Vitalia-Seehotel in Bad Segeberg (50km from Hamburg), Togo decided to set up camp in Wangen im Allgäu instead.
